Hi all! We're planning a quick weekend in the Swiss alps, flying to Zurich from London for four nights. Any trips to figure out / save money on trains to Lauterbrunnen? Seems like maybe we can get a saver day pass (about 79 francs), or try to buy "super saver" tickets for a specific train - this seems cheaper than other options, and likely tied to a specific train.
Out of 4 days/4 nights, would a stop in Lucerne on the way out for 1 or 2 nights be a good idea, or forget it and head straight there? We arrive around 8PM in Zurich - one idea was to train immediately to Lucerne, sleep there, enjoy a half day or full day there, and then continue up to Lauterbrunnen area.
Any preference between staying in the valley vs. somewhere higher, maybe Murren? I’d love to find some mountain biking around, and we’re excited to hike and spend as much time out and about as possible.
Thanks!
Brandon
