At the end of our summer in Europe, we'll spend five days in Lugano. I see that Switzerland uses a unique style of electric outlet. Will we need to purchase a new set of adapters, or might some EU adapters work?
In most cases, your EU adapter should work.
If not, your hotel might have one you can borrow or they will be easy to find to purchase.
Thanks, Frank! Any idea what kind of store is most likely to have them in stock?
Supermarkets, small grocers, pharmacies, tourist shops and even your hotel.
Thank you!
I was in Switzerland recently, if your EU adapters have pointy ends on the base like this they will will be fine.

Get the ones that Liz linked to above. You can also buy them from Amazon:

I don’t recommend waiting to buy them in Switzerland. I had to buy a couple on my first trip and they were very expensive.
Sadly, I don't have the option of ordering online, as we're currently in Europe without fixed address. But good ideas nonetheless.
We bought one at the Manor Department store in Luzern, and I believe there is one of those in Lugano.
Coop and migros will sell those adaptors as well. So no worries there.
When we stayed in Basel for just a couple nights, we were able to borrow an adaptor from the hotel front desk.
