Where can I purchase Swiss half fare card in Italy?
We will be in Italy for a week before taking a train to Bernese Oberland area. I like to purchase Swiss half fare card in Italy so I can get a discount while traveling from Italy. If I buy it from the US now, I have to pay $40 or so for mail. I don't find an option to print it at home. I don't want to get off at a Swiss border to purchase the half price card. Is there a way to purchase the half fare card in Italy? Can we purchase it at an Italian train station?

Last yr i bought mine at the swiss train station.
I doubt u can purchase in Italy.

No, you can't buy a Swiss half fare card at an Italian station, only at one owned by a Swiss railway company.
If I buy it from the US now, I have to pay $40 or so for mail.
Which website are you trying to buy it from?
You can buy it online at the SBB (Swiss Railways) website: https://www.sbb.ch/en/leisure-holidays/travel-in-switzerland/international-guests/swiss-halffare-card.html
This will get you a print-at-home version.

Rail Europe's fee for UPS delivery (2nd-day air + a business day to process) to a USA street address is $18. It only goes up to $36 if you need next-day air and it wouldn't cost $40 except possibly if you booked by phone. But they don't have the print-at-home option that SBB does.
