Purchasing a Regional Pass Bernese Oberland with a Swiss Travel Pass

I have a 5day Swiss Travel Pass with Family Card that is valid beginning 24 August. I would like to purchase a 4day Regional Pass Bernese Oberland that is valid beginning 22 August. Am I entitled to claim the fare reduction for Swiss Travel Pass holders even though I only have one day of overlap on the passes? Or is that fare reduction only for persons holding a Swiss Travel Pass covering the entire duration of the Regional Pass?

I am going out on a limb to say that I would assume the Swiss Travel Pass must be concurrent with the validity of the B. O. Regional Pass in order to get the reduction. You can always ask when you get there, but I would operate on the assumption that you would not.
