Purchase a Swiss Travel Pass in Tirano, Italy?

I understand you can purchase a Swiss Travel Pass in Switzerland, and apparently it's cheaper there than through Rail Europe.

We will be spending the night in Tirano, Italy after visiting Italy. The next day we have first class seat reservations on the Bernina Express and will wind up that day in Lucerne.

My questions: Can we buy a Swiss Travel Pass in the RHB station in Tirano? Will this be cheaper and easier than dealing with Rail Europe? Since we only want the second class pass, I assume we can upgrade in the station that day for our first class seat reservation.

SBB just revamped their website to be more mobile friendly, ie its a disaster. i can't find anything about the availability at the RHB station in Tirano. I have had good luck asking questions directly using the "Contact" button at the bottom of the page on the left. https://www.sbb.ch/en/ You should get an answer within 24 hours.

What is interesting is that none of the "+" buttons in that page for more information will work, at least not on my iPad. So I cannot see any information on Tickets and Travelcards. If they just have a machine and o agent, can Mikembuy his Swiss pass from a machine?

While I received no answer to my question from SBB, I did get one from Rhaetian Railway that operates the Bernina Express.

The answer is yes we can buy the Swiss Travel Pass in Tirano on same day of travel. And yes we can upgrade one class on that day if we have a second class Swiss Pass. The fare they quoted for 3 consecutive days with second class pass was CHF 185 (which is about on par with the $) or CHF 370 for the two of us. Rail Europe quoted $440 for the same pass.
