I'm traveling to Basel with seven other friends in September, and was hoping to pre-arrange a local tour guide to show us around, for perhaps a half day. Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks.

The Basel tourist authority does lots of guided tours, public ones at fixed times and ones you can book for groups.

When I am walking around the city at the weekend I often spot these groups, with the guides for different tours speaking different languages.
