Pre-purchase Swiss rail pass?

Three questions about the Swiss rail pass.

  1. Are there any discounts available for educators from the United States for the Swiss Rail Pass?
  2. Are there any discounts available for college students?
  3. Should I purchase the pass online before getting to Switzerland or should I purchase it there?

  2. Yes, if you’re a college student perhaps you qualify for the Youth STP
  3. Are you training into Switzerland. If not then you don’t really need it until you land at a Swiss Airport then just buy it when you arrive.

Youth rate is for anyone under age 26 on the start date of the pass.

1) No discounts
2) Just under 26 price.
3) Same price either way. If flying in buy at airport station. If coming in by train, buying in advance means you don't have to gte off the train at the border station.

if you buy online you get a self-print ticket. You cannot buy a flexi-pass online.
