please help with 12 day itinerary...would you change anything or add a place to visit?

Hello. I'm more of a walker than a hiker and will not be renting a car. Will be flying into Zurich third week in September (but can change)
Day 1-Lucerne
Day 2-Lucerne
Day 3-Lauterbrunnen
Day 4 and 5 Lauterbrunnen
Day 6 and 7 Grindelwald
Day 8 and 9 Montreux
Day 10-11 ?
Day 12 Zurich
Mostly interested in sightseeing, coffee, lunches, exploring...not a night person.

First, count nights, not days. Two nights is one full day.
Perhaps three nights in Lucerne. The first day is working off jet lag. And if the flight is delayed/ canceled, you could lose most of that day.
I wouldn't change lodging between Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. It's great not having to change lodging and stay in one place for five nights. And- no one is ever ready to leave the Berner Oberland.
Don't underestimate how much time it takes transitioning from one location to the next.
Is day 12 flying home? So night 11 is Zurich ? I would just stay longer in Montreaux with your unassigned time.
If you revise your itinerary reflecting nights, and you plug in actual travel times, it will be easier to visualize how much time you really have to explore.
September is a great time to be in Switzerland. Enjoy!

thank you...The end of the trip is still a little nebulous. There is going to be a direct flight from SEA to Zurich starting on June 2 and I'm not sure I should wait that long to make that particular reservation. Or fly SEA to CDG and spend a few days in Paris.

Don’t stay in both Lauterbrunnen & Grindelwald, they are in the same region. Wengen is central between the two.

Wengen - 4 Nights
Montreux - 2 Nights
Zermatt - 2 Nights
Luzern - 3 Nights

You should at least have one boat ride. Giessbach Falls and Aareschlucht (Aare Gorge) are nice walking attractions
