Hello all,
I'm going to be in Switzerland for 14 nights next month, with this itinerary:
Day 1: arrive ZRH, train to Luzern, 3 nights in Luzern, visit Rigi and Titlis (and maybe Pilatus) from Luzern
Day 4, 5, 6: Interlaken 3 nights, boat on Brienz, check out Thun
Day 7, 8, 9: Murren 3 nights, Schilthorn, Birg, hiking, waterfalls in the valley
Day 10, 11, 12: Grindelwald 3 nights, First, Mannlichen, hiking
Day 13, 14: Winterthur 2 nights, Rhine Falls, train to airport on day 15
My plan is to buy a Half Fare Card and a 10-day Berner Oberland Pass. The BO Pass will cover getting from Luzern to Interlaken, everything in Interlaken, Murren/Lauterbrunnen (except Schilthorn), Grindelwald, and back up to Bern, plus discount for Titlis. So I'd need to purchase transportation (at half fare) from ZRH to Luzern, from Luzern to/from Rigi Kulm, from Bern to Winterthur, from Winterthur to/from Rhine Falls, and from Winterthur to ZRH. Does this sound correct?
(I'm not planning to go to Jungfraujoch, Zermatt, or any museums. I'm traveling alone, not on a tour.)
According to my calculations, it's not worth it to buy a Swiss Travel Pass for the 5 days I'm outside Berner Oberland, and since they aren't consecutive, I'd need a STP Flex, which is really costly (and no free days like the current STP promo).
Could someone please confirm that Half Fare Card plus 10-day BO Pass is the way to go? Thanks very much!
