Please confirm feasibility of the trip

We are planning to land in Zurich around 1 pm on aug 21st.Plan to stay in Zurich that night after visiting Lindt chocolate factory. Heading to Zermatt next morning..my research tells me the train ride is very scenic and hence we are doing it in the morning… (doing it post the Lindt chocolate factory tour may get dark ) deposit the luggage at the train station and head to Matterhorn. That evening we want to take the train to interlaken . Still deciding on whether I should stay in Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen or Interlaken. Next day to Jungfrau . day after morning Grindelwald and then head to Lucerne in the evening.Spend next morning at Mt Titlus and return. Next day morning head to Zurich airport. Help needed

A) is this feasible
B) any recommendations on where to stay .. reasonablly good accommodation
C) if the locations we want to visit are Lindt chocolate factory, Matterhorn , Mt Titlus , Jungfrau and Grindelwald would you suggest another itinerary

You only have 4 nights? No, it’s absolutely not a good idea to do your plan. Your list needs to be cut in half, otherwise you’re going to spend the entire trip in a train and barely get to see anything at all.

Where are you coming from?

What is the composition of “ we”?

Concur with previous comment that you are planning a lot of train rides

You’re trying to cover too much territory. Way too much train time leaving you with only one-night stays throughout your trip. That will make your trip just a rushed blur.
Pick two destinations at most— don’t waste time overnighting in Zurich.
Zurich Flughafen to Lucerne (1-hour by train) and then Lucerne to Lauterbrunnen (3 hrs) would be my choice for 4 days.

To more specifically speak to your list and plan....

  1. The train ride from Zurich to Zermatt is not anything worthy of basing all your plans around. You may have heard of scenic train rides like the Bernina and Glacier, but that's not the quick way to get there, so there is no point in saving it for the morning.

  2. If you have to be to the airport in the morning of your last day, then pick either Zermatt OR Grindelwald to do first and then end in Luzern, as you can get to the airport easily from there that last morning.

Land in Zurich > immediately train to Zermatt - 2 nights (Gornergrat, village exploration, etc.) > Luzern 2 nights (Rigi, Pilatus or Titlis + historic town & lake exploration)
OR
Land in Zurich > immediately train to Grindelwald - 2 nights (Jungfraujoch, Grindelwald First) > Luzern - 2 night (Rigi, Pilatus or Titlis + historic town & lake exploration)

If the Lindt chocolate factory is a non-negotiable to you, then schedule it for your arrival day and then train that afternoon/evening to your destination (Grindelwald or Zermatt), even if it's in the dark, so that you have a full day the next day.
