place to stay in Klosters/Davos area

Davos is a much bigger town that has more dining/shopping options and the Kirchner museum, more like a regular Swiss town that happens to be in the mountains. Klosters is quieter and more aesthetically appealing, but has fewer amenities. You can do hikes from both and they are close enough that you could also visit both areas, but which I would recommend staying in depends on how long you will be there and which part of June (and what you want to do besides hiking). In that area, many things don't open for hiking until late in the month, especially the higher peaks in Davos. Better chances in Klosters mid-month. If you just want to do lower-elevation walks, it is not as restrictive. In June, you could also look at a day trip to the Engadiin where there are some earlier hiking opportunities and that would be a bit easier from Klosters because the train line splits there.
