Looking for input on what passes may be open to drive in late May without chains. We're a little too early in season and with late snowfalls, we would like to drive one or two but understand Winter is still in motion for most of those roadways. We now have 1-2 days that we were going to drive passes open and looking for suggestions. Definitely do not want to get into a dicey driving situation on winter roads if we can help it. Looking more for mountain/nature experiences/vistas than lakes and cities. Will have already experienced Lauterbrunnen (etc.), Zermatt, Interlaken and Lucerne.

Last time we did the Gothard a few days after it opened (around May 20 that year) the road was clear, without snow, but we were driving between two 2.5-meter high walls of snow, so the vistas were a bit lacking on top. It was nevertheless very impressive!
