Paris to Lake Como with Switzerland stop

My BF and I will be traveling from Paris to Lake Como and we would like to stop for a night or two somewhere in Switzerland. Which city would be best to get in and out of while still experiencing benefits of Switzerland and a short time? What is the best rail of travel as well?

First, Paris to Basel on the TGV-Lyria. Then either the Berner Oberland (Lauterbrunnen or Muerren) via Bern, Spiez and Interlaken, or Luzern via Olten.
Continuing on to Lake Como from the Berner Oberland, back through Interlaken and Spiez to pick up trains heading to Milan, then to Lake Como.
From Luzern, there are a couple of direct trains from Luzern to Milan, otherwise a connection at Arth-Goldau.
These trains stop at the city of Como at the lower end of the lake where you can get a ferry or bus to more popular spots like Bellagio. There is also a stop before there in Lugano where you can get a bus to Menaggio on Lake Como, and also ferries from there to Bellagio and Varenna. Or you could stay on all the way to Milan then get a train to Varenna.
Where on lake Como are you looking at?
