Paragliding in Murren

Has anyone paraglided during their free time in Murren? Just wondering if you could share your experience. I am specifically wondering what the landing is like. Is it a jolt to the body when first touching down? I was looking at Airtime Paragliding for the experience. Mostly just concerned about the landing. Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

It’s an awesome experience and I highly recommend. I wouldn’t call it a jolt. If you follow their directions you’ll glide down and just stand up and have to fast walk a few steps.

Check your travel insurance. Altho I'm sure it's very safe, I tripped over the clause in my policy that doesn't cover "extreme sports", and this was listed . I was already to go....

I tried Paragliding on one of my trips and really enjoyed it. As a previous post indicated, it would be a good idea to check the "fine print" on your travel insurance policy. I've heard that the Paragliding companies may also offer a short term policy specific to the flight, but you'd have to confirm that.

As I recall, the landing wasn't rough at all. This video will provide some idea of the landing - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj8VUzHnD4w .

A few years ago I went paragliding with Airtime. Loved it!! Such a great experience. If there is a slight jolt your guide will take it, I remember a soft landing. I plan to go back next year and do this again, I will be 75. The guys you fly with are great and yes I bought the video!

For those with experience with Airtime

Looking at booking early September. I am thinking mornings have better chance of clear weather. But have also read better updrafts later in the day. Can you comment on your experience please

I’m scared of heights and I still loved it. Pro-tip…don’t eat beforehand.
