Paddle Steamer on Lake Geneva

We will be in Montreux in June and have a Swiss rail pass and would like to take the paddle steamer on Lake Geneva. Will we have to make reservations or are there usually tickets available in the summer? If we do have to reserve, how do we do that?
Thanks

With a Swiss Travel Pass you need neither tickets or reservations , just hop on . These boats are fairly large and there is plenty of passenger capacity . One thing to point out - some of the boats are restored , turn of the century steamers . The engines have been beautifully restored to the standards of a fine Swiss timepiece. . If you are fascinated by engineering , as I am , you will enjoy watching these machines in action during a ride . Some of the boats are diesel powered , so ask when you board if it is a true steamer .

I second doing the real old steamers. It’s a great trip, especially if the weather is good.

Yes, I totally agree about the restored steamers!!!!! There is also one on Lake Brienz that is amazing. My husband is a mechanical engineer and never tires of watching it. We've taken the trip from Interlaken to Brienz at least 4 times!!

I will be in Montreux in September but will not have a travel pass. Does anyone know the official website for the paddle streamers? Thanks

cgn.ch/en is the website for the Lake Geneva cruises. We just took one this past weekend. It was very enjoyable.
