I’ve done some research, but always seem to find this forum way better. We are going to be in Lucern….then staying in Jungfrau..with plans to visit around Lauterbrunnen and areas…then to Montreux and finally to Anncey. We will be in each area for about 3 days. We plan on doing all the waking “hiking” we can, but not anything crazy off the beaten path too too much.
It is myself 34female..daughter 17 and Mom 71. We will have a backpack and a small carryon.
Any suggestions or help is great.
I’ve got ideas to pack layers and a light rain jacket, but many of you are avid travelers and I wanted to reach out.
Thank you!
That time of year in Switzerland, it’s best to be prepared for anything. I leave about a week after you and I’m taking jeans, capris, short sleeve shirts, long sleeve wool shirts, fleece, puffer coat, raincoat, hat, gloves, and long underwear. And probably just one shoe—brooks ghost running shoes.
I'd check meteoswiss a day or two before you leave.

It always seems to be warmer than i think, because that mountain sun is HOT. But it can be pretty cool in the morning.
Have a great trip.
My college friend just got back yesterday. She said it was much warmer than she thought it would be, but, like you said, prepare for damp and chilly AM and PM.
Have a great trip.
I have NEVER packed a puffer jacket, gloves or winter wear to Switzerland in 13 trips, ranging from April to October. Even on mountaintops. Layers, yes.
wynoka54, Some of us get cold easily. :-) The puffer coat is one of my layers. This is the one I have:
