While it was not listed in Steve’s book, we stayed at the Grand Hotel Des Alps in Chaminox. It was superb in all respects and very centrally located. https://grandhoteldesalpes.com/en/the-hotel/. It appeared to be the hotel of choice of a few upscale tour companies such as MT Sobek. I would definitely recommend this place.
