our itinery for switzerland from 8 sept to 2 oct.

pls comment on our itinery.
8th sept fly into geneva arrived 1400 hrs.get free transfer pass to hotel. sight see geneva go to united nations if still open, walk around town. stay accor hotel in geneva

9th sept train to lausanne ,may not use my swiss pass will pay for train cost 21.80 chf each.

visit the port, sauvabelin tower,cathteral and take the boat to montreux for a visit. ( ve to find out how much boat return boat cost) see chillion castle in montreux. stay hotel de boulevard in lausanne chillion castle is one of the most visited historical monument in switzerland

10th sept hoping to take train to lausanne via montreux then golden panoramic line to zweissimmen and on to thun, then to bern . will stop in thun for a few hours before bern. ticket cost 53 chf each.

2 nights in bern stay in hotel marthahaus.

In bern visit barengraten park which is a park full of brown bear. Also see bern clock where einstein got his inspiration from and visit einstein house.

11 sept bern, take train to murten cost 27.20 return each and then spend the rest of the day in bern. Murten is a historical medival town with beautiful arcades and outer walls.

12 sept train from bern to brig, then domodossola via centovalli railway to locarno,continue to lugano for 2 nights staying in maraini resort.

13 sept lugano see mt bre and san salvatore via funiculars.visit swiss minature village

14 sept bernina express bus from lugano to tirano leaving 10am arrive tirano 1300 hrs, stay in tirano for 2 hrs.

then bernina train at 1514 arriving st moritz at 1730 the seats are all reserved.

in st moritz for 2 nights staying in youth hostel st moritz.

15 sept in st moritz. We only have 24 hrs to see engadine, join a trip to silvaplane and soglio if possible.

16 sept take glacier express to zermatt leaving 0900 arrving zermatt 1700 hrs.

spend 3 nights in zermatt in haus rosa apartment

17,18 zermatt

See matterhorn from schwarzsee or klein using mountain railway.

Visit gonergrat, if time permits see saas fee

19 sept from zermatt to lauterbrunnen for 4 nights staying in valley hostel

20,21,22 lauterbrunnen

Jungfrau by mountain railway.

Schilthorn via schilthorn cable car from murren. Take the lift at the station for the train which will shuttle along the cliffs to murren, walk through the town for specatular views, have a meal or cup of coffee cost 8 euro a coffee, walk through the town to the other end and take the lift to continue to schilthorn. On way back take the cable car all the way back to the valley and a bus to murren.

Visit interlacken go p. harder kulm cable car in interlacken.

Visit wergen, grindelwald, lauterbrunnen.

23 sept lauterbrunnen to lucerne

24 ,25 sept lucerne

In lucerne take boat trip to weggis or vitznau, see mt rigi.
Visit engleberg and on To mt tiltlis

Take train from.uzern to airolo return passing. Gotthard pass using gotthard line.

26 from lucerne to salzburg for 4 nights
Take the 0935 train from luzern via zurich to salzburg arrived 1603 after 61/2 hrs.

The swiss part to the border town of buchs sg is covered by the swiss pass, then ve to get a ticket from buch sg to salzburg.

Take half day sound of music tour, eagle nest tour if able. See mirabelle placce and gardens where sound of music is made. Visit the festive hall, catacoombs, castle, various squares, mozart house etc.

27,28,29 salzburg

30 sept salzburg hoping to take train to lindau, then ferry to konstance overnight

1 oct ferry from konstanz to schaffhausen then to rhine falls overnight at winterthur.

2 oct winterthur to zurich airport for flight at 1600 hrs.

It seems like a lot of looping around on scenic trains, but I guess you won't miss anything. It sounds like you've researched it pretty well. For your choice of Swiss Pass, the 15-consecutive day version could only cover Sept. 10 to 24, for instance. For $120 more per adult, the 22-consecutive day version covers your whole time in Switzerland (and discounts on higher mountain lifts).
