We are planning ahead to summer 2025 and are thinking of going to the Berner Oberland, Bern, Lucern and then ending at Lake Geneva via the Golden Pass rail route. Any suggestions on the order of the itinerary that would make the most sense? We will likely have 9 to 10 days in Switerzerland.
Perhaps the above Search will be helpful. This is a frequent question, and there's a wealth of info posted under Switzerland. There are also recent, well-written summaries under Trip Reports. And- review the RS suggested itinerary.
How many actual nights? It would really help to add a few more, which would give flexibility in the event of bad weather.
Enjoy this beautiful country. Safe travels!
Fly into Zurich, go to Luzern for 3 nights (day trip easy to Bern from here via quick train), then the Berner Oberland for 3-4 nights (Grindelwald, Wengen, Lauterbrunnen or Murren) and then end on Lake Geneva for 2-3 nights (Montreux or Vevey), flying out of Geneva.
This is so helpful! Thanks so much!
