Only 2 days -- stay in Murren, Wengen or Interlaken?

Hello! We only have 2 days in July the Lauterbrunnen area, and ideally we would love to be immersed in nature.

We would like to prioritize easy hikes (small child) like the north face trail and/or the Gruetschalp-Murren trail, playgrounds, picnic lunches, lakes, waterfalls and a trip to Schilthorn (we have a reservation at the Piz Gloria).

My family is also looking forward to taking trains, gondolas and cable cars up steep climbs. On the front end we will be arriving from Zurich and then heading back to Zurich (the airport) via a coupe of hours in Lucerne.

Based on this itinerary, would you advise staying in Interlaken, Murren or Wengen? There is no lodging availability in Lauterbrunnen. Thank you for the help!

Given the short timeframe, I would try not to waste time "commuting" from Interlaken and therefore pick Mürren or Wengen. Probably Mürren over Wengen with your list of desired activities.

Mürren would be my first choice if you can find lodging.

Each of the hikes you want to do is at Mürren, as is the Schilthorn cablecar. So Mürren would be the best place for you to stay.

If you decide to stay in Murren, you may want to consider Chalet Bobs. I looked on their website and notice some availability in July. They have several very clean apartments with kitchenettes and spectacular views. We stayed there about five years ago and would not hesitate to stay again.
