We are currently staying in Wengen and want to get out hiking tomorrow morning. Ricks book deals almost exclusively with hikes on the Maureen side. I have the AllTrails app but when we hiked on Mt Rig we chose a hike and followed the trail to what was signed as having a cable car and it did, but the cable car went to the base at other side of the mountain!!! We don’t want that happening again. All the maps and instructions on hikes in our chalet are written in German. Can anyone direct me to a good online site with detailed descriptions of hikes in this area??? Please!!!

I did these walks in june: Staubbachbaenkli and the Mönchblick.
Also, the TI near the Manlichen cable car station should have a small brochure with all the hikes and maps. Details in English.
Enjoy!!!!
What type of hikes are you looking for?
Easy? Challenging? Something in between? Hours you want to be on trail?
There are only about 100 hikes accessible from a Wengen base.
Give us some clues so we can be most helpful.
Moderate level hikes 4-7 miles
Check out the second link that Carrie gave you, scroll down to "all offers". When you click on the individual hikes you will get a good description and details regarding the hike. It sounds like you have hiked in Switzerland before, so you are likely aware that the Swiss are very good hikers and what they call 'moderate' hikes can be quite challenging. You will get a good idea of the hike by looking at the elevation gain profile and reading the description and the required equipment/supplies they list for that hike.

I have used this web site to help me with hiking for our upcoming trip. (which includes Lauterbrunnen). This is their page specific to hiking in that area.
This is their page that has information on other pages on the site that details some of the hikes.

They also have traveled to many other areas in Europe, but they don't have hikes for everywhere they go.

I hope it helps.
There is also a very informative blog post with amazing pictures at https://lauterbrunnenhiking.wordpress.com/ Seeing the photos will be quite motivating!
