Hello! A group of us are traveling Europe and found out a local band of ours is playing in Zurich at the Gotthard Bar on Langstrasse. Friday, September 21st. Thought it would be an awesome way to experience Zurich. We are looking for a decent price hotel near there - for 3 couples for one night. Recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Put "Zurich hotels, hotels.com" in your search engine and go to the main page for Zurich on Hotels.com. Part way down the page you will see a map. Put a date in the search engine box and the map will show you the location of all the hotels available in Zurich for you on your date. In the upper left corner of the map page you will see a "search for" box. Put the address for the bar in that search box. It will show on the map along with the names of the nearby hotels. You will be able to see the locations and prices. If you find 2-3 you think would be ok, I would then go and read the reviews about them on Trip Advisor before making a final choice.
Right. Thank you. I was just looking for recommendations here. I've learned that I get some great places to try and more honest reviews than TripAdvisor.
Kimberly, it is reassuring to get personal recommendations for hotels. I believe the lack of response is not that people do not want to help you, its just that most contributors on this forum tend to visit other locations in Switzerland. For example, Luzern is very close, so I often suggest people skip Zurich in favor of Luzern. In your case, you have a specific reason to visit, but I would guess for most people on the forum, they have little experience in Zurich. I do believe I heard that RS has added Zurich to his Switzerland guide. You might check there for recommendations. I often pick hotels from the RS guidebook and have not be disappointed.
