One Day Itinerary - Too much???

Hi all, I plan on doing the following all in one day. Do you think this is possible or are we being too ambitious? For your reference, we don't like to lounge around too long in one area and we like to see as many things as possible when we visit somewhere new. We will be based in Wengen.

9am: Gondola from Lauterbrunnen to Grupschalp then cogwheel train to Murren

10am: parasailing from Murren (lands in Stechelberg)

11:30am: Gondola back up to Murren, walk around town, lunch, then up the Allmendhubel Funicular

1pm: Hike part of the Northface Trail to Spurtz Waterfall then continue hike down to Gimmelwald

3:30pm: See Gimmelwald then take cable car down to Stechelberg

5pm: Hike from Stechelberg to Lauterbrunnen (then back up to Wengen)

If you have great weather, would probably work, but hopefully you are there long enough to be flexible and adjust accordingly. Enjoy this beautiful area!

It’s possible, but I think the hike back from Stechelberg to Lauterbrunnen isn’t worth rushing everything else. Doing the Northface hike as you described isn’t “part of it” it’s all of it and then an additional detour to Sprutz, which I would not recommend. Not worth your time on such a full day.

I’d suggest something more like this….

9 - Wengen > Lauterbrunnen > bus to Stechelberg > cable car to Murren (paragliding meets at this spot, not at the train station)
10 - paragliding
11:30 - Stechelberg > Murren > Allmendhubel (lunch up at Allmendhubel or at the beginning of the Northface hike at Suppenalp are good options)
1:30 - Hike the Northface to Murren (skip the Sprutz detour) + explore Murren
5:00 - Walk from Murren to Gimmelwald, explore the farms and have dinner at the hostel or pension
8:00ish - Cable car down to Stechelberg and bus back to Lauterbrunnen to return to Wengen

great minds think alike - finally I agree with a particular route - I'm usually way off on something or other

wanderweg has it perfect.

they said all the changes I would have done.

Reemphasis their choices for lunch, and you may even if you are lucky benefit from an Alphorn at Allmendhubel.

by the way - the little train between Mürren and Grütschalp is not a cogwheel or rack and pinion - nearly level the track is all adhesion. No need for gears on the track.
