Non-skiing adventures in Zermatt

My daughter and son-in-law are honeymooning in Switzerland but unfortunately she broke her wrist her first day there. They are currently in St. Moritz but are headed to Zermatt on Wednesday (12/8/2021) and they are looking for some non-ski related things to do. Does anyone have a name of a private tour guide or recommendations for things to do that will be easy for her to do while there. They are spending a week in Zermatt and then 3 days after that in Grindelwald. Any help would be appreciated.

Gornergrat Bahn. Ticket allows you to get on and off at multiple stops. Snow allowing, a hike to Zmutt and hike further and take the Matterhorn Express II down. Check out the cemetery for those lost climbing the surrounding peaks. Go to Saas-Fee (Wham, Last Christmas), but it would be a long day.

Oh no! I feel sorry for your daughter.
Thankfully, the various cable cars in Zermatt are all accessible to pedestrians, so they can enjoy most of what the mountains have to offer in terms of scenery... and food. There are some excellent restaurants around Findeln (Chez Vrony, Paradise...) and Zmutt (Zum See) that are accessible on foot (with the help of the odd cable car) and worth booking for lunch! Enough good places for a week of feasting, really.
I do not see any need for a private guide and whatnot.

The Matterhorn museum in Zermatt is worth a visit. In the Grindelwald area, the Schilthorn is fun - cable car to rotating restaurant with James Bond theme. Beautiful views.

If they want some change of scenery, the Christmas market in Montreux is still on. Otherwise, especially if the weather is bad, there’s a spa / thermal bath in Leukerbad.
