Posted March 30, 2022 Concretely, this means that as of Friday, protective masks will no longer be mandatory on public transport and in healthcare facilities, and those who have caught the virus will no longer have to isolate for five days.
Thanks. Carrie has been keeping us updated regularly.
thank you for this update!!
This is a federal decision, Kantons and communities are free to set their own rules and many do.
That is good news that more and more countries are doing away with restrictions. Unfortunately with the continued mandatory rule that Americans must have a pre-travel negative test result one day before re-entry into the US, I would not discontinue wearing a mask on public transport or inside buildings. When I was in congested parts of Zurich two weeks ago, many people were even wearing masks on the street. It is so disheartening that American citizens must test to return to our own country and have that stress hanging over me during my trip, but I am not going to stop traveling abroad.
Amen to that!
So, are any Cantons still requiring masks or a mandatory quarantine after a positive test?
