No hotels recommended in the RS guidebook for Geneva - can anyone help?

We will be visiting the Montreux area with family for a few days at the end of a 2 week trip. Our family is leaving Montreux on Sunday, and we are flying out on Tuesday. Although the RS guidebook recommends visiting Lausanne instead of Geneva, we will be flying out of Geneva early on that Tuesday morning. We feel it would be less exhausting to simply take the train from Montreux to Geneva on Sunday, and spend Monday walking around Geneva, but where to stay? We are thinking it may make the most sense to stay near the airport, as our flight is early, but can anyone recommend any of those hotels, from recent personal experience? Many thanks!

A couple of years ago we stayed at the Warwick, right by the main train station. It was convenient to walking the old town, to the lake, and of course t0 grab an early train to the airport. I highly recommend at staying centrally rather than at the airport.

Great Italian restaurant around the corner Boccadasse.

Hi Deb,

I also stayed at the Warwick this May and would recommend. We were arriving via train and flying out from GVA so we wanted to be close. Trains run to the airport frequently. In 2022, I stayed at the Ibis Styles which is within walking distance to the airport. Both were clean. You get a free public transportation pass for each member of your group when staying in lodging in Geneva. It is emailed to you to use while in Geneva so you can easily take advantage of buses and trains in the city and to the airport.
