Has anybody here been to Nesslau N S J? Near St Gallen? It is at the end of the S2 train.
I've seen some great photos and although I regularly visit Switzerland, that's a part I've never seen.
When I can I would like to go there

No never been. But perusing google maps, I'd suggest continuing up the valley on the post bus to Alt St Johann and then first by the funicular, then cable car to the top of the Churfirsten mountains, looking down on the Walensee.

From the lack of responses Nigel, I am gonna say this is a back door destination. I’m gonna go look it up now.
I expect you are right, Barbara.
It is well off the RS beaten track....
Look great though - I was watching a train video showing the approach...
Nigel,
That's a destination I hadn't heard of, but it certainly looks like a scenic and interesting spot to visit. I have been to Appenzell, which isn't too far from Neu St. Johann and I imagine it's somewhat similar. I found that to be a somewhat "unique" part of Switzerland.
Adding it to my list of yet-to-be-explored destinations in CH! Thanks, Nigel!
