How are you getting into and out of Switzerland, and to/from where?
No need for a pass that short a trip.
One tip is to buy the Super Saver train fare available 30 days in advance for these routes
Zurich to Luzern
Luzern to Engelberg (on the way to Titles
Hi @acraven,
Thanks for your response. I am entering Swiss from Venice(flight) and Leaving swiss by flight.
HI @Jazz+Travels
Thanks for your tip, i was thinking of purchasing travel pass to avoid queue in Train station/ticket counter. But do i need to worry about that? I am planning to go upto Mount Titlis and thought of saving some time.
HI @Jazz+Travels
Do i need to have a Half fare travel card to purchase super saver train ticket? Reason is price is two times higher.
Price on (https://www.sbb.ch/en/travelcards-and-tickets/tickets-for-switzerland/supersaver-tickets.html) - 45 CHF
Price on (https://www.swissrailways.com/en/products/excursiontitlis?affiliateid=23) - 104 CHF
You don't need a Half Fare Card to purchase Super Saver tickets. If you do have a Half Fare Card, you get the additional 50% off of the discounted price. But then that would mean less savings with the cost of the Half Fare Card. The general rule is, if you have more than 240 CHF worth of full fare tickets per person, then the Half fare card will save you money. But if you are buying Super Saver tickets at up to 50% off, then you would need more than 480 CHF of full fare tickets before you started saving money.
You might also look at the Tell Pass, which covers Luzern and Engelberg and Titlis. You would still have to buy full fare tickets between Zurich Airport and Luzern, or maybe Super Saver tickets for the Luzern-Zurich Airport leg. Since they are train specific, don't get them for your arrival as your plane could be delayed and if you missed your train, the tickets would be invalid and you would have to buy full fare replacement tickets.

@Sam,
Thanks so much your detailed response with an additional information on the Tellpass. So if Super Saver tickets are time bound, can i purchase full fare(standard) tickets from Luzern to Zurich airport through their SBB website?
Thanks once again for your help.

Yes, but there is no point. Supersaver tickets are only valid on the train listed on the ticket. Normal tickets are valid on any train that day, and are fixed price. It will be simpler to buy tickets at Zürich airport station when you arrive, either at one of the ticket machines or at the manned ticket counter. You will pay exactly the same, and there is unlikely to be a queue.
Full fare tickets can be bought from the agent at the station, as well as from vending machines, as well on-line with the ticket code displayed on your smart phone.
Thanks So much Sam and Chris, this answered and clarifies all my queries.
Last summer we purchased the Tell Pass at Zurich Airport upon arrival in Switzerland; this included a discount on the fare from Zurich Airport to the area where the Tell Pass became valid. Very easy, and we didn't have to be concerned with trying to buy time-bound tickets in advance.
Thanks Den I will try that.
