need some help with itinerary-14 days in Schweiz

We are flying into Zurich end of Sept. for a 14 day (driving) adventure before boarding a Rhine River cruise (Basel-Amsterdam).

Itinerary so far:
Ist stop-Lucerne 3 nights......next stop ? 1-2 nights.....Murren 4 nights.....1-.5 nights ?......1 night near Basel, but where?

We love easy hiking, biking, WW II history....staying 3 nights per village. Do you have any suggestions?

We don't have any particular recommendation for stops in between Luzern and Muerren, but after those, you could continue on to Montreux, Murten, and/or Bern. These Swiss destinations are all fleshed out in Rick's Switzerland book. Happy planning!
