My initial thoughts are that it's really cold in Europe in February, especially in the mountains. Unless you're skiers, have you considered moving your trip up to the first of April when the weather breaks?

Thanks David for Suggestions !
No..we are not skiers.
we can consider for April as well. can you help with the itinerary how can we plan for the places i have mentioned.

If you want to visit the mountains, April is the single worst month of the year. Muddy, rainy, cloudy, and once the snow pack retreats from the meadows, the farmers use the opporunity to fertilize the soil... liquid manure sprayed through a power hose.

February wouldn't be warm, of course, but there are options for non-skiers. The Berner Oberland, for example, maintains winter hiking trails and sledge runs.

I think February can be lovely if you are not allergic to the cold! We went to Austria last Feb and it was great! Also have been to the Berner-Oberland in January and loved the winter walking in the mountains.

I think you have too many stops. And I hope those are NIGHTS not days! Interlaken is dull, so trade that for Muerren or Wengen as many recent posts have covered. Skip Zurich (it's just a city) and Zermatt (you do not have time), adding one more night to wherever you stay in the Berner Oberland and one more night to Paris. (We've also done Paris in off season and it's lovely.)

So consider:
Muerren or Wengen - 3 nights
Luzern - 2 nights
Paris - 4 nights

I don't see how you can fit in the Glacier Express, but you will have great mountain train experiences anyway. Going to the Jungfraujoch is a good reason to stay an extra night in Muerren or Wengen.

You cannot do all of this from one base so you need to stay in at least two places in Switzerland.

Please confirm you have 9 nights on the ground. It's your honeymoon! Don't make it a forced march. Once you nail down the itinerary we can discuss passes, but probably a Swiss Half-Fare Card will be the bet option.

Arrive Zurich. Train to Luzern (2nts)
Train to St Moritz (1nt)
Glacier Express to Zermatt (1nt)
Train to Interlaken/Lauterbrunnen (2nts)
Train via Basel to Paris (3nts)

You could travel from Luzern to Zermatt in a day by picking up the Glacier Express in Chur. This would mean an extra night for Zurich, or even Paris.

IMO, you are trying to squeeze in too much, too far away from each other. It's your honeymoon. Relax and enjoy it. Really see one place. Paris would be the best place for that. Base in Paris for the full 9 days and enjoy! Do Switzerland on another trip. This way...You'll 'always have Paris'!

Aman, these places all look like they're right next to each other on the map, but please note it will take more time that you think getting from one place to the other. That means you won't have much time in any location to see anything.

The Luzern carnival is the end of February. I have not been, but have been told it is something to experience.

I like Luzern, Muerren, Paris. I did not see the charms of Zermatt when I was there recently. Luzern is just one hour from Zurich. I would fly into Zurich and from the airport take the train directly to Luzern. Then train to Muerren and finally on to Paris. I think Rick includes the Muerren to Paris route in one of his recent videos. Or, you could reverse the direction and go west to east.

Stay in fewer places and relax. The hotel views in Muerren are great. I just returned from the Best of Switzerland tour and we stayed at Hotel Alpenruh. I loved my room.

Thanks alot guys for all your inputs.

let me know how this plan sounds.we will consider Luzern,Muerren and paris.

Arrive at Zurich Airpot, transfer to Luzern (2 night) then to Muerren (3 nights).
we can cover the Jungfrau region from Muerren if weather is good.

so which travel pass should we go for?
Also, pls suggest from where should we catch the train to Paris?

Trains from the Interlaken area to Paris typically require a connection to the fast TGV train at Basel (the border station). Reserve the Basel-Paris train tickets about 3 months ahead for the best (nonrefundable) discounts.

If your time within Switzerland fit into 4 consecutive days (so far, it doesn't), then I'd choose that version of the Swiss Travel Pass for about $265 US per person. Pass options are typically reviewed/changed at the end of the year, so they may be different for purchase in January. On the plus side, Switzerland usually announces those changes in advance, so you can make a decision in December. The One-Month Half-Fare Card for visitors is a lower initial investment at $125 per person, which allows you to buy all transport tickets within Switzerland for half price.
