We are flying into Milan Malpensa and would like to go to Lugano, Switzerland for a couple of days before spending the remainder of our vacation in Italy. Is it better to go to Milano Centrale and take a train to Lugano or is there a bus that goes directly from the airport? Only "Lugano" comes up on the Trenitalia site so I assume there is only 1 train station there. Is that correct? Thanks!
(I am posting this to both the Italy and Switzerland boards).
There is a bus that goes to Lugano without going into Milan. Check Rome2rio.com for info on that and some other options. Here is a link to the bus schedule.
