Any thoughts and recommendations for multi trip insurance? I would like to know if it is better to buy it and from where. I travel 4 times a year abroad.

I bought a one year policy from GeoBlue, which is a BlueCross Blue Shield Company.

I base my travel insurance needs on where I'm going and how much I can afford to lose. What is your loss tolerance if something happens and you require medical attention outside your home country?
The largest cost for traveling outside the US is trip evacuation in case you're injured/become ill abroad and need transportation back home. I traveled with one tour company that would not allow you to travel with them without proof of sufficient trip evac insurance back to your home country.
Having said that, a lot depends on where you're going PLUS your age at the time of travel as well as the expected activities on your trip.
Your best course of action is to always buy the appropriate insurance. That way you're assured of some coverage. There are many plans that offer multi-trip insurance. Allianz also offers annual plans, but whatever you decide to do make sure that you read ALL of the fine print. Make sure that the policy covers what you need it to cover.
