We have a one day cruise extension in Basel. We plan on taking the train to Lucerne early morning. We will be there 11/18. I see where the Golden Ticket to Mount Pilatus is not available in November, but the Silver Ticket is available (does not include lake portion). Would you recommend going to Mount Pilatus this late in year? If so, can you buy ticket day off? This is our first visit to Europe. Thank you!

It all depends on the mountain weather. I'd also check the website for the hours of the lifts and if the lifts are still open, or closed for maintenance.
I believe that Mt Rigi is open all year around, as I was at the summit one December for a glorious fresh powdery snowpack.
Most hotels have webcams directed at the peaks to determine visibility and weather at the top.
