We will be in Geneva at the end of our summer Swiss trip and plan to take a train from there to Paris. What’s the most economical option for a family of 4 please?

Buy your tickets 3 or 4 months in advance. I like to buy on SBB.ch rather than the French site. There are direct TGV trains from Geneva to Paris. The regular fare for that direct train right now is 159 CHF on SBB, but a ticket bought online now for June 10, for example, is 29 CHF for the Saver Fare (no refund or exchange) or 39 CHF for the Saver Flex (refund or exchange with conditions). I would choose the latter to have a little flexibility.
Thanks so much! So I’m getting the Swiss pass on SBB but the ticket from Geneva to Paris will have to be separate? Sorry not sure I understand. Thanks so much for the help!!
Your Swiss Pass will not cover the journey to Paris, because you cross into France pretty much right away. The train is a French train and does not make another stop within Switzerland after Geneva.
Even if it did cover the short distance within Switzerland, I believe the Swiss Pass discount does not apply to the reduced-price Saver and Saver Flex tickets, which are offered on international journeys.
