Most Convenient Travel Passes - Switzerland and Italy Travel

We are taking a trip this June and trying to decide on the best combination of passes and tickets.

Flying into Zurich and going straight to Lucerne for 3 nights.

Then going to Wengen for 4 nights.

Then going to Milan for 2 nights, Venice for 3 nights, and Florence for 3 nights.

Not looking for the cheapest option but the most efficient stress free option.

Thanks.

I'll let the Swiss experts deal with those tickets. But Milan to Venice and Venice to Florence are on high speed lines run by Italotreno or Trenitalia. Buying advance discounted tickets on either line will save money and give you a reserved seat. As long as you accept the restrictions that go with the discounted ticket. Buy directly from the rail line, not a 3rd party reseller.

The Swiss Travel Pass is the easiest, as you don't buy tickets, just hop aboard the Swiss train, boat tram, etc. It will cover you up to Wengen and Murren. Above those elevations, you're dealing with another type of pass, or individual tickets, but will get some type of discount.
The STP will get you as far as Tirano, Italy, on your way to Milan.
Enjoy these beautiful areas. Safe travels.

Swiss Travel

Would buying an Oberland pass and half pass and just getting singles ticket for (Zurich to Lucerne) and (Interlaken to Milan) be a better option? Or should I do the Swiss and Oberland pass? We plan on hiking and going to the areas above Wengen, Murren, and Junfraujoch. The first option saves me about $255 for 3 of us (2 adults and 15yr). Question, if I buy a single ticket am I allowed to make changes to it?

Italy Travel
Do I need a travel pass for getting around within Milan, Florence, or Venice? Advice on easiest thing to do for this?

Thanks.

Florence's historic centre is so compact that you can walk just about anywhere. In Venice, you would want a vaporetto pass for the number of days you are there.
