Montreux - Rivera Card metro card question

So I just booked my Montreux loding, and I suppose to get Montreux-Rivera Card as part of benefit.
It entitles me free metro rides around Montreux area.

The hotel is little off the main Montreux - so I need to take a local train to arrive for check in.. Since I won't have the actual card until the check in, can i just show the conductor my reservation as a proof that I am entitled to Montreux rivera card?? or do i need to purchase the ride until I check in..

This applies to other places I have booked, like Lucerne as well..

Thank you in advance for any feedback...

There is no metro in Montreux, just buses and trains. You cannot use your hotel reservation in lieu of the card, so you will need to get a ticket to the stop of the hotel.
You can get through ticket between pretty much any two stops in Switzerland, so if you are for example entering the country at Geneva Airport you would buy a ticket "Geneva Airport" to "busstop in front of the hotel" or something like that. You can figure out what the route is by entering the street address of the hotel (or sometimes even just the hotel name) in the destination field on www.sbb.ch

The Luzern Guest card is electronic, and will be mailed to you by your accommodation. Note that it only covers the city itself (zone 10). Unlike the Riviera Card, which covers quite a large area.
