I have never been to Europe and I have a great opportunity for travel (with a car) from Geneva to Meribel. I have about 5 days to get to Meribel. I would love any suggestions on what to see as well as any tips about travel between these 2 countries.
I will also be in Meribel for about 9 days and I'm not a huge skier. Any recommendations for this town would be greatly appreciated as well.

Chamonix and Annecy would be the biggies between Geneva and Meribel. Your money will go a whole lot further in France than in Switzerland. If you are not a huge skier and you are spending 9 days in Meribel, I suggest you become one. This is a primo ski resort. Lessons aren't cheap, but they will add immensely to your enjoyment in a world class ski destination.
