May want to go back Lauterbrunnen after My Way Alpine

The tour bus takes us to Chamonix for the last leg of this tour. I would like to return from Chamonix to the Lauterbrunnen Valley to enjoy it for a couple more days. What train(s) do you recommended that I take? Will this train trip take up a lot of time?

Are there bike trails in that area that are relatively flat, i.e., really easy for someone who has not ridden a bicycle for many years?

You can get train schedules/connections at the Swiss Rail site: rail.ch
It's a four hour journey with multiple changes.

There are indeed mostly flat bike routes available. Or course you can always ride downhill on the steeper routes and take the bike aboard trains/cable cars back to you starting point.

From Chamonix-Mont-Blanc station to Lauterbrunnen takes 4.5 hours (and requires 5 connections). How to Look Up Train Schedules and Routes Online gives you the DB train schedule link and tips for using it.

The Lauterbrunnen Valley itself is quite flat, heading toward Stechelberg. Your tour sightseeing guide discusses this in a section called "Cloudy-Day Lauterbrunnen Valley walks." There is bike rental at Imboden Bike on the main street of Lauterbrunnen. Or, you could take a bus one way and walk back.

Thanks for your replies, Michael and Laura.

Does Imboden bike have electric bikes for rent, and do they have bike tours? Does Imboden have a website?

Thank you.
