We have booked a tee time at the Matterhorn Golf Club while in Zermatt. I'm assuming that one of the electric taxi's in town will take us there? Anyone have any experience getting there from Zermatt or recommendations for golfing here? Thanks in advance!

The Matterhorn Golf Club is in Randa, below Taesch. Electric cabs in Zermatt will stay in Zermatt, as I don't think they are even licensed to operate on roads with regular automobile traffic.
You could take the train to Taesch. Then walk a little more than a mile to the course. There are also taxis at Taesch station. https://www.taxiadler.com/
The gas taxi could also meet you at the Urania parking garage, which is about a quarter mile down Spissstrasse from the main Zermatt train station. Permitted gas vehicles are allowed into Zermatt up to that point. You can also get to the Urania garage on the free electric buses in Zermatt.
