Matterhorn Alpine Crossing

Going to Zermatt end of May 2024. How do I use my Swiss Half-Off ticket to access new cable car to Italy? The information pages I read indicate that it is valid but it does not explain how to use it.

I have never been to Switzerland, so this will be new.

Thank you

you can just go to the ticket office when you are there. Show them your 1/2 card, tell them what to do, and they will give you the correct ticket. That's what i would do.

Are you going on a one way trip from Zermatt? If so, you need to figure out how to get to your next destination. The train station is not in the town of the cable car. Be sure to plan in advance.

Based on what I read here:

I think you have to purchase the ticket on-site, in person (and not via the website) in order to leverage the Half Fare Card. You purchase it as part of your overall trip from Zermatt. Also, notice that the 50% is only good for getting as far as Testa Gregia, which includes the new Alpine Crossing cable car. I'm pretty sure that If you wish to connect on to the other already existing cable cars to ride into Cervinia, for example, you will need to buy those tickets upon arrival in Teste Grigia.. They are in Italy.

I'm hoping to ride as far as Testa Gregia during my September trip.

I will buy the half price ticket after flying into Zurich or before on line ?

But by the Alpine Crossing Ticket in Zermatt?

You can buy the half Fare Card upon arrival in Zürich (at the airport station), but you should wait until you get to Zermatt to buy the Crossing ticket. It is highly weather-dependent.
