Hmmmm... here everything is wet after a storm rolled through last night. However, decent weather yesterday on our hike to show friends Avalanche Lake. Spectacular vista at the lake.

Hi Nigel, it will be 6 weeks before we are there (in Muerren with grandchildren this time). I checked the webcams because I had read so many posts about “what to do” in the Berner Oberland now with the (US based) forecasts showing thunderstorms every day. I checked again just now (16:40 in Switzerland) and the sky is still mostly blue, although clouds are hanging low over the peaks from the Wetterhorn to the Jungfrau.
Hey Bruce, maybe that was the same rainstorm that passed through Boise a few days ago? That is where I am right now. How are the wildflowers in Glacier? We do need to get back there; our last visit was 2011! But this summer is all about Switzerland. We haven’t been there since 2007. I’ve been saving my pennies for the 11 years. . . .
