Not sure what you’re looking for exactly, but my partner and I enjoyed Thai Lanna on Bruchstrasse with a predominantly local crowd. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the staff spoke much better English than I speak German. And one night we ordered take out from La Bestia, grabbed a bottle of wine, and had dinner in the Vogelgartli, where half the people in the park were doing the same thing.
