I thought it was only an hour trip by train, but SBB is giving me options that are about 2 hours. Any tips?
We are trying to get from Luzern main station to Zurich Airport Hilton.

Looks like weekend construction work on the line, assuming you are going today. everything is showing about 1 3/4 hour journey with 2 or 3 connections. The trains at 30 past the hour via Olten have only one connection there.
Edit. The way via Olten costs more if you are buying tickets. The most direct route (and the normal one) has a train replacement bus operating between Rotkreuz and Zug and that is what is adding time, still only 1 hour 35 minutes to the airport that way, with a full fare price of 30 CHF.

We stayed at that Hilton and it is very nice. The restaurant there is good too. Definitely make sure you pre-book your airport shuttle with the front desk and let them know how many people and how many suitcases you have. Some people didn’t pre-book and got left behind at their desired time. My son ended up sitting on my lap in the shuttle as we were one person over, and there were no single people on the shuttle, ha!

You may take a direct train from Luzern to Zurich Hauptbahnhof and
then transfer to a train to the airport.
It’s not necessary to transfer at Zurich HB. Check the SBB app for an option that requires no train changes.
Brent is already home from his trip. 😊 But this info. will help others traveling in the future.
