Luzern to Murren

We are just a few days away from wanting to travel from Luzern to Murren. We have done this before several years ago and it was easy to step off a train in Interlaken, board one to Lauterbrunnen, step off and onto a cable car and then the train into Murren. I’ve been hearing that the cable car and train are undergoing maintenance but can’t seem to find anything definitive.

Where do I find out exactly what we need to do? We have our Swiss Pass but not finding that App very enlightening?

As far as I know the BLM from Lauterbrunnen to Grutschalp to Murren is closed May 8-June 2.

To get to Murren you train Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen as you mentioned, then take the bus to Stechelberg (right outside the train platform) and then take the Schilthornbahn cable car from Stechelberg to Gimmelwald & then Gimmelwald to Murren. I believe it's covered in your Swiss Pass. It sounds a bit more complicated than it is. The way you did it before was train, train, cable car, train and this way is train, train, bus, cable car, cable car.

You can look at it just by going to www.sbb.ch/en and put in your date and time of travel and Luzern to Muerren and it will show it.
