Hello all we just got an email from Hotel Schweizerhof in Lucerne (we stay there on Saturday and Sunday night next week).
Has anyone been in Luzerne during this summer festival and how crowded is the city. We have some flexibility in our week there and can "reverse" some things and see Luzerne at the end of the trip if needed. Sounds fun, but if it turns into the same vibe as Taylor Swift coming into your city during her Eras tour we may rethink it. Never been to Luzerne so thanks for any feedback.

It’s a new festival, replacing one that previously ran the same time of year that hasn’t happened since Covid. The guy who organized the old one has now retired and Luzern Live is the first version of the replacement, so hard to tell about what kind of crowds there will be. It just started this weekend. This new festival doesn’t really have any big name musicians and although there might be some crowds in the city and at the venues, I wouldn’t bother necessarily rearranging my trip because of that. The main issue for you is probably more that the Schweizerhof is one of the venues, so there will be concerts there which may impact your sleep. Not sure what they told you about noise/time restrictions, so I’d ask them and decide if you think it will be a dealbreaker or not.
