Hello,
I saw some older posts which indicate that the lockers only took coins. I hope this has changed. Do the lockers accept credit cards or do I have to have swiss francs change in order to use them?
Hello,

They only accept coins (Swiss Franks). They are one of those smaller items that I doubt will ever take cards. Unmanned machines that do take cash or cards (ticket machines etc.) require a PIN with your card. If your card does not have one you must also use cash in that case.
You will need Swiss Franks for lots of smaller items, getting change is no problem.
Cash machines (ATM) dispense CHF 100 or CHF 200. This is a normal denomination, you will have no problem changing it, even if only buying a small item.
Got it. Thank you Chris!
I stowed some luggage at the Bern station earlier this month and paid with a credit card.
Was that a locker, Sara, or a staffed storage?
A few weeks ago, I was suprised to see the lockers in Geneva used credit cards for payment-- my regular chip-and-signature card worked just fine. The smaller stations we used tended to have the coin-operated lockers (the blue ones I'm more used to seeing). Wonder if SBB is phasing in the credit card operated machines? So convenient!
