Are you committed to Lausanne? I have a great hotel in nearby Montreux picked out for my upcoming trip. It’s super convenient as it is right across the street from the train station. The grand hotel swiss majestic.

Thanks for the response! I think Lusanne will be more convenient as it is a 20 minute train ride but I might visit! . I checked the rate for my 2 days and it was 415. I keep forgetting some sites do it by total nights and not for one night.

When I was a child, my parents and I stayed at Hotel de la Paix which was lovely but not my price range now. We've stayed several times at Hôtel Elite (elite-lausanne.ch) which we've always enjoyed especially when we've had a room with a view. It's supposedly a 4-minute walk from the train station to the hotel but uphill all the way so takes us longer with kids. (A lot of Lausanne is uphill!) Like most hotels in Switzerland, it is extremely clean, most rooms are comfortable, breakfast was excellent but it's been quite a few years since I've stayed there.
Also note the spelling of Lausanne to get to the links and information you're looking for.

Wow. I love the ones your parents stayed at but the only thing left is a suite with a view which is out of my budget. Sometimes it helps to email the hotel! I got a double room with a view for a better price than listed online! Thanks so much!

Since Swiss hotels are generally a high standard, go on booking.com with your dates and you can find hotels in Lausanne in your price range and their location. Read the reviews and look at the hotel details.

As I recall, this is where I stayed in Lausanne - https://www.elite-lausanne.ch/charming-hotel-in-the-centre-of-lausanne-en3.html . It's within very easy walking distance to the station (basically a short walk up some stairs), the rooms are clean and comfortable and they served a nice breakfast.

Thanks Sam & Nigel for watching out for me on the links! I'm not sure why I would leave the safety of the forum to another link to go look at a response on another link. I did like the links to the hotel but google works as well! I have found a hotel. I appreciate the responses!
