We have decided to take a longer route for our transfer day from Wengen to Zermatt, with a lunch stop in Montreux following our ride on the Golden Pass Express. We will have between 1 and 2 hours for our lunch stop, so I'm looking for recommendations for a sit-down restaurant within a short walk from the train station, please send them my way. Since this will be our only time in the French part of Switzerland, a French restaurant would be nice, but any mid range restaurant with good food works. Thanks in advance.
We stayed at the Hotel Grand Suisse Majestic in Montreux, which is right opposite the station.
They have a restaurant, called Le 45 that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We ate breakfast there every morning and dinner one evening. The food was wonderful only beaten by the spectacular views of Lake Geneva over to the Alps in the distance.

DebH, thanks for the recommendation-the Marriott is certainly convenient to the train station, so a good choice for a lunch stop. I got another interesting recommendation on Trip Advisor, which was to pack a lunch, and a local train or bus to Chillon Castle and have a picnic near the castle, so now we have two great options. The castle option would involve more time, and it might also require more transit time since we will be storing our luggage at the Montreux train station, but a picnic with the castle as part of the scenery does sound pretty nice!
