Hi all, I want to visit the caves @ St. Beatus en route from Murren to Bern. My first dilemma is luggage storage while visiting the St Beatus caves - would love any suggestions for that. Secondly, is it possible to visit Schilthorn early am, leave from Murren to St Beatus to explore cave, 2:40 boat to Thun, then late train to Bern?

You can email the caves directly to see if they can store your luggage, alternately there is a B&B right there, you can ask them if they are willing to store your luggage for you, perhaps for a small fee.

Do you mean that you would visit Schilthorn and the caves all before 2:40? This seems like a lot to me. What time of year are you going? Can you take a later boat? Or perhaps take the bus to Thun after the caves, rather than the boat, that will give you a lot more freedom to take your time at Schilthorn and the caves.
OR:
After Schilthorn store your luggage in the lockers at Interlaken West. Bus to the caves and back (17 min one way). Train from Interlaken West to Bern.
