We are spending one night in Zermatt and want to spend the day after checkout exploring Zermatt but need luggage storage. Are the luggage lockers at the Zermatt train station big enough for a standard carry on bag? Thank you.

Zermatt is an automobile free city, and it's serviced by narrow gauge "cog trains".
Most people arriving by car will park at Täsch and take the narrow gauge train in.
Those that are coming by train appear to be coming through Visp with some 230 trains daily going thru there. There's just 7 train tracks, and a map online doesn't show any luggage storage.

According to the SBB site there’s a left luggage office and lockers too. I didn’t notice them when I was there as I wasn’t looking for them. It might be that lockers are on the office. Check the relevant sections on the website.

You could ask your hotel if they would store your luggage for you after you check out.
